Welcome to music at Hillview in 2021

New Vocal Coach

We are thrilled to welcome a new vocal coach at Hillview this year. Her name is Aimee Gray, who has a music degree and a masters in vocal technique. Aimee shows particular passion in musical theatre. She taught for several years at Sylvia Young Theatre School & Emil Dale Academy, and was Head of Music for Spirit Young Performers’ Company for several years. Her musical direction for online performances and original medley arrangements (Disney Evolution; Les Miserables in 9 minutes; Hamilton) have together accrued tens of millions of YouTube hits. Band Quest

Last year, we had a wonderful band enter 'Band Quest'. They performed very well. It would be great to have another band or more than one enter this year. Head on over to https://bandquest.co.nz/ to find out more information. Entries for 2021 are not yet open.

Worship

I encourage music students to explore worshipping God on their instruments and to explore where God may lead them with this. I believe that worship is an incredible way to encounter God's presence in our lives.
